Faris photographs the unhurried parts of an hour — a ceremony, a portrait, a match. The walk after, the whistle, the way a child leans into a parent when they think no one is looking.
The work is mostly in natural light, often on film-inspired color, and almost never with a shot list. The pictures are for living with, not for performing a version of the day.
